THE ART OF NEIGHBORING
All of our lives have been significantly altered in an effort to limit the spread and impact of the cornavirus. Being deligent to practice social distancing and following the guidelines established by public officials is vital to our own safety and to the safety of others. However, as we engage in physical distancing practices, it’s important to note that there is a big difference between social distancing and social isolation. As the Church, we called to love our neighbors. If you are looking for some creative and safe ways to connect with your neighbors, click here.

DISCIPLESHIP EXPLORED COURSE
While fear grips our world – there is nothing better than reminding ourselves of the gospel and growing in our love of it. I want to encourage you to join in on a study through Paul’s letter to the Philippians over these coming weeks entitled, “Discipleship Explored.”
This course helps followers of Jesus turn up the gospel soundtrack to their lives, and goes beyond simply teaching the right moves – go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel – and focuses on the music which drives discipleship: the love of Christ. The greatest love anyone can ever know.
This is ideal for believers at any stage of the Christian life.
If you are interested in joining this study online using Zoom, please sign up by clicking on the appropriate button below for login details.

ORDER OF WORSHIP
Pray through the liturgy below and watch this morning’s message…
CALL TO WORSHIP
The Apostle Paul says in his letter to the Philippians: “God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.” In fact, no less than 8 times in his various letters Paul makes similar expressions of longing to be bodily together with his brothers and sisters. It’s a BIG DEAL. At the same time, we can say with joy that God has gifted us with means to stay connected from afar just like he has ALWAYS done.
And so we’re going to continue to rally around God’s word, day after day, until we can be together again.
And by that word, we can say things that we wouldn’t have the power to affect, or even to MEAN on our own. This is the power of God’s living word to change us, so we can say this boldly together:
Hallelujah!
My soul, praise the Lord.
I will praise the Lord all my life;
I will sing to my God as long as I live.-Psalm 146:1-2 CSB
Let’s all sing together!
SONG: Jesus is Alive
CONFESSION/LAMENT
Hear the word of the Lord:
Do not trust in nobles,
in a son of man, who cannot save.
When his breath leaves him,
he returns to the ground;
on that day his plans die.Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea and everything in them.
He remains faithful forever,
executing justice for the exploited
and giving food to the hungry.
The Lord frees prisoners.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord raises up those who are oppressed.
The Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord protects resident aliens
and helps the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.The Lord reigns forever;
Zion, your God reigns for all generations.
Hallelujah!-Psalm 146:3-9 CSB
SONG: Jesus, Thank You
ASSURANCE
Hear this stunningly beautiful drama play out:
For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For rarely will someone die for a just person—though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die. 8 But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath. 10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life. 11 And not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation. – Romans 5:6-11 CSB
SONG: To God Be The Glory
GIVING
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. -1 John 3:16-18
Your giving has gone towards the work of supporting ministries serving in our local community, our country around the world through our partnerships with missionaries.
As God’s prized possessions, let’s take a moment and pass the virtual giving baskets. You can give online via Devonshire’s website or snail mail.
