ORDER OF WORSHIP
Use the liturgy below as your guide while you watch this morning’s Home Edition …
CALL TO WORSHIP
Good morning! Let’s rally around God’s word this morning, who is our source of peace:
6 Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
Let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Fill my heart with joy
when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.
-Psalm 4:6-8 NIV
Let’s sing!
SONG: Cornerstone
CONFESSION/LAMENT
Let’s pray this Psalm together:
Be mindful of your mercy, O LORD,
and of your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for your goodness’ sake, O LORD!
Good and upright is the LORD;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
For your name’s sake, O LORD,
pardon my guilt, for it is great.
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
Relieve the troubles of my heart,
and bring me out of my distress.
Consider my affliction and my trouble,
and forgive all my sins. Amen.
—Psalm 25:6-8, 11, 16-18, NRSV
SONG: By the Grace of God
ASSURANCE | GIVING
Hear this good news from the Apostle Paul:
17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
-2 Timothy 4:17-18 NIV
Paul unabashedly proclaimed the gospel to the world around him, regardless of the consequences that came his way. Paul endured imprisonment, stoning, and flogging for the name of Jesus. Yet he says ‘the Lord will rescue me from every evil attack.’ The Lord does not promise safety or an easy life, He promises something so much better. He promises an eternity in the presence of God. Let us strive to proclaim the gospel to our communities with a zealous heart out of a desire to make Christ known. He will, in fact, bring us safely into his heavenly kingdom.
As God’s prized possessions, let’s take a moment and pass the virtual giving baskets. You can give online via Devonshire’s website or snail mail.

BENEDICTION
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION AND DISCUSSION
