DISCIPLESHIP EXPLORED COURSE
While fear grips our world – there is nothing better than reminding ourselves of the gospel and growing in our love of it. I want to encourage you to join in on a study through Paul’s letter to the Philippians over the next 8 weeks entitled, “Discipleship Explored.”
This course helps followers of Jesus turn up the gospel soundtrack to their lives, and goes beyond simply teaching the right moves – go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel – and focuses on the music which drives discipleship: the love of Christ. The greatest love anyone can ever know.
This is ideal for believers at any stage of the Christian life.
If you are interested in joining this study online using Zoom with others, please sign up by clicking on the appropriate button below. Sessions will begin this week:
FOR TEENS: Tuesday Lunch Break at 12:15 pm | Click Here

ORDER OF WORSHIP
Pray through the liturgy below and watch this morning’s message …
CALL TO WORSHIP
Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; – Psalm 68:4-6a NIV
SONG: Crown Him With Many Crowns
CONFESSION/LAMENT
As you listen in and worship from your homes, we can acknowledge that things are not as they should be. We may feel burdened by sadness and loneliness, or worried about our physical health and provision for ourselves and for loved ones. Let’s seek the Lord and bring those concerns to Him this morning. Feel free to get on your knees and posture your hearts as we pray this plasm together:
Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path. I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. -Psalm 27:7, 11, 13-14
Let’s continue to sing, putting our hope in our good and merciful God.
SONG: Wonderful Merciful Savior
ASSURANCE & GIVING
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. -1 John 3:16-18
Your giving has gone towards the work of supporting ministries serving in our local community, our country around the world through our partnerships with missioniaries.
As God’s prized possessions, let’s take a moment and pass the virtual giving baskets. You can give online via Devonshire’s website or snail mail.

BENEDICTION
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION AND DISCUSSION
- How did the Holy Spirit speak to you today?
- What are the implications of this passage for our church family? For our community?
