This June, 13 individuals from Devonshire will serve together as part of a team headed to Honduras to share the Gospel through supporting a sister church that we have partnered with over a decade. While there are a few opportunities for construction-type projects, our focus will be on relational ministry through activities such as assisting in leading a vacation Bible school for children, prayer walking, visiting and praying with families in the neighborhood, meeting needs for food and other essentials, and bringing encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our aim will be to follow the Spirit’s leading and serve the local congregation as they minister in their barrio.
Be A Part of the Team
While you may not be a part of the team that is going … you can still be a part of the team! Please consider being a member of the team by supporting them in these three ways:
PRAY. Please pray for the team, as they prepare for this trip. Pray that God would prepare their hearts and for the work they will be doing; pray that God would use their work for His glory; pray that God would provide the finances needed, and pray for their families while they are away.
SERVE. Would you be willing to come and serve with them before they go? The team will be holding fundraisers over the coming months and would love for you to participate and support as through these events.
GIVE. The cost for the trip for each team member is $1,400 (this includes airfare, lodging, meals, transportation, ministry supplies, and insurance costs) which puts our total need for the team at $18,200.
