Local and World Outreach

At Devonshire Church our desire is to make an impact for Christ in our community and around the world. Throughout Scripture we read of God’s love for the world. We have been tremendously blessed by God’s outpouring of love for us and our response must be to be a blessing to others. John Piper in his book, Let The Nations Be Glad, writes, “Missions exists because worship does not.” The goal of missions is to help mankind get in right relationship with their Creator, to be bowing before the King of kings in pure, honest, passionate worship. Missions will continue to be needed until the world is worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ.

Through local, national, and global partnerships we seek to honor and obey God in fulfilling His purposes by prayerfully involving people in service opportunities, short term trips, and the provision of resources.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19, 20
